New Zealand star Jorja Miller wins the SVNS Player of the Year award, and many rugby legends, including Bryan Habana, celebrated with her.
Undoubtedly one of the finest women’s rugby players, Miller continues to show why some fans already consider her the GOAT. Season after season, her consistency at the top level has become difficult to surpass.
After winning the prestigious award last season, Jorja Miller wins it again, and this time goes into the record books as one of the best in history.
JORJA MILLER JOINS SPECIAL SVNS CLUB
For many years, only Michaela Brake (nee Blyde) and Charlotte Caslick had won the award twice. Also, it was Michaela Blyde who had won it back-to-back. Now that Jorja Miller has won her second in a row, she has joined a special group.
However, it was a tight contest, as Miller got the best of USA’s Ariana Ramsey, becoming the first player from the USA to receive such a nomination.
On the other side is Maddison Levi, who looked ahead to getting her second win as the Sevens Player of the Year after initially winning it in 2024.
With such competition, Miller walked away with the top award, and many fans, rugby players, and legends celebrated her success.

HSBC SVNS SAYS CLASS IS PERMANENT
Announcing that Jorja Miller is the winner, the HSBC SVNS praised the youngster’s exceptional talent.
“They say form is temporary and class is permanent. Well, Jorja Miller is permanent. She made her debut back in 2022. A breakout season in 2023 and winning Rookie of the Year. A gold medal in Paris 2024. A switch up to XVs and picking up a bronze medal at RWC2025, not a problem for Jorja. Over 100 HSBC SVNS Series tries. Countless medals and tournament wins along the way. The numbers speak for themselves,” they said, telling her story.
“But, Jorja Miller is about so much more than just the numbers. It’s the work she puts in for her team. For her whānau. It’s the way she glides through defenders who have no hope of stopping her. The way she turns defence into attack in the blink of an eye. The first to pounce on a loose ball, securing a ruck like it’s nothing. Winning penalties and making the hard yards. This is what makes a world-class athlete. This is what makes a leader. This is Jorja Miller,” they continued announcing her.
“Women’s SVNS Player of the Year:
2025 🏆
2026 🏆
Jorja Miller. Built differently,” they finished.
