Legendary centre Ma’a Nonu named all the partners he played with in his All Blacks career, from Tana Umaga to Smith. Ma’a remains one of the finest centres New Zealand has ever produced. However, it was his longevity that made him exceptional, as he played through generations. Over the years, he has played with many legends, always at the centre of the partnership.
Ma’a showed his sharp memory, remembering all of them from his debut to the last day. Indeed, they were teammates when they played, but looking back, they formed a strong and lasting brotherly bond.
WHO ARE MA’A NONU’S ALL BLACKS CENTRE PARTNERS
In a video that surprised fans, Ma’a revealed that he played with 12 different partners throughout his All Blacks career. He started naming Tana Umaga, Sonny Bill Williams, Casey Laulala and Aaron Mauger as the first four.
He continued with Conrad Smith, Malakai, and Stephen Donald before he went for the final four. He finished with Dan Carter, Richard Kahui, Luke McAlister, Ben Smith and Mils Muliaina.
