Rugby Australia boss Phil Waugh welcomed the royal family, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle. It’s been a long time since rugby fan Prince Harry visited Australia in 2018, and this visit reminded some Phil of his 2003 celebrations.

It was a great day; a then-young Prince Harry joined the England celebrations after beating Australia in the final. His love for the game has since grown, but he did not live to see such celebrations again, as England has not won the Rugby World Cup since then.

In the final, England won. Phil Waugh was the vice-captain and would get time to talk about the day. Prince Harry and his wife will attend the Super Rugby Pacific match between the NSW Waratahs and Moana Pasifika on Friday.
