The Bulls have named their starting lineup for their United Rugby Championship clash against Zebre, but it’s not what fans expected.

BULLS STARTING XV FOR ZEBRE CLASH

15 Kurt-Lee Arendse, 14 Cheswill Jooste, 13 Canan Moodie, 12 Harold Vorster, 11 Sergeal Petersen, 10 Willie le Roux, 9 Paul de Wet, 8 Cameron Hanekom, 7 Marcell Coetzee (captain), 6 Jeandré Rudolph, 5 JF van Heerden, 4 Ruan Vermaak, 3 Wilco Louw, 2 Marco van Staden, 1 Jan-Hendrik Wessels.

Replacements: 16 Johan Grobbelaar, 17 Gerhard Steenekamp, 18 Francois Klopper, 19 Cobus Wiese, 20 Mpilo Gumede, 21 Embrose Papier, 22 Handré Pollard, 23 Stedman Gans.

With such a lineup, the Bulls are looking for a win and to book a place in the upcoming playoffs. However, some fans believe the starting lineup is not the best for the task ahead at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria (1.45 pm kick-off).

WHAT FANS ARE SAYING

With Willie Le Roux starting at 10, some fans believed Handre Pollard was the best for that position. Some also question why Zak Burger and Keagan Johannes. Surely it’s a mix of emotions and expectations among fans, as they failed to agree on which side to back to beat Zebre.

@chalron manè “The disrespect they keep showing towards Zak Burger and Keagan Johannes”

@Bongani Momoti “I’m actually livid. Why is Keagan Johannes still not selected??”

@Mikhail Fourie “Difficult spot, have to rest guys, but also suffering at flyhalf depth after Goosen retired. Would’ve loved to give Keagan game time again”

@Kutenda Makwamaya “Willie kicking for Poles. Happy with Front Row, allows for MVS to really stake a claim at Hooker”
