Big Boost: Cobus Reinach Personally Delivers Positive Injury Update

Cobus Reinach gave positive news about the injury he suffered in Cape Town against the Glasgow Warriors. When Cobus suffered the injury, most fans and the coach feared the worst, that they would lose one of the finest scrum-halves.

After limping off around the 60th minute, Stormers Coach John Dobson was sure that he would not be coming back soon.

WHAT COBUS REINACH SAID ABOUT HIS INJURY

Sharing on his Instagram stories, Cobus Reinach gave the injury update that Stormers and Springboks fans wanted to hear.

Cobus revealed it was not an ACL injury, news that gave hope of a fast comeback. He shared a picture of himself hugging his teammate, Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, and captioned it. “Not an ACL”.

JOHN DOBSON’S INJURY UPDATE AFTER THE GAME

“He’s in a brace and hasn’t been scanned yet, but I don’t see that being a quick turnaround,” Dobson said after the game.

“It looks like a ligament, possibly medial. Hopefully it’s not an ACL, but it’s serious enough to keep him out for a while,” he continued, sceptical and hoping for the best.

WILL COBUS REINACH BE READY FOR THE SPRINGBOKS’ COMING FIXTURES?

Now that Cobus Reinach has revealed that he did not suffer an ACL injury, the optimism grows. With the next Springboks match coming on 4 July against England, Cobus has the chance.

Even if he misses the first few matches, Rugby Culture Club understand that he will be available for the New Zealand games in August.
