St George Illawarra Dragons star Damien Cook has opened up following the news that he would be leaving for Castleford Tigers at the end of the season. On Instagram, Damien looked low and down, but also grateful for what the team gave him.
“Grateful for everything this club has given me,” Cook said, showing gratitude for the time he had with the Dragons.
“Nothing changes — all in until the very end. ❤️🤍 @nrl_dragons,” he finished, showing his commitment to finish the season strong.

Speaking to the club website, the talented coach, Ryan Carr speak about Cook’s signing and what he brings to the team. He cited his experience and competitiveness as assets that Cook will bring to Castleford Tigers.
“Damien is a terrific signing for our club. He’s a great person, a proven leader and an outstanding rugby league player who brings a wealth of experience and a real competitive edge,” he said.
“His professionalism and desire for success fit perfectly with what we’re building here at Castleford,” he finished.
