Moana Pasifika faithful Patrick Pellegrini and his family have revealed what it meant for the club to stay in Super Rugby. Over the years, Moana Pasifika has been a unique club in Super Rugby, making the championship more connected to the region.
Comprising players from various Pacific Island nations, New Zealand and Australia, Mona Pasifika became a rainbow of unity.
However, the club will no longer be in Super Rugby next season, but here is what the faithful really feel.

Speaking to ABC Pasfic, Pellegrini revealed the dream he had as a young boy to play for Moana Pasifika.
His mother also came, sharing the emotional side of the story and seeing the club go down. Their interview triggered a lot of emotions among fans, as they came in numbers in the comment section.

PELLEGRINI SIGNS WITH THE HIGHLANDERS
Indeed, as his journey with Moana Pasifika ended, Patrock Pellegrini has now signed a contract with the Highlanders.
The talented fly-half has signed until 2028, expressing his desire to take on the new challenge and achieve big things.
“I’m really excited to be joining the Highlanders and taking on this new challenge and a different challenge,” he said
“It’s a real privilege to sign for such a great club, and I can’t wait to get to work with the boys, meet the fans and make a contribution to the club’s future success”, he continued.
His new coach, Jamie Joseph, also praised him, showing him so much affection.
“Patrick is a smart, composed No.10 who has proven himself in some of the toughest club competitions in the world. He’s significantly improved his game over the past few seasons and shown he can perform at an international level. We believe he’ll thrive in our environment and add real value to the group.” Joseph said.
