OLLIE LAWRENCE’S AGE AND EARLY LIFE

The talented centre Ollie Lawrence was born on 18 September 1999 and turned 26 in 2025. Born in Birmingham, England, Ollie grew up a multitalented young boy. He was a fine cricket player and played for Warwickshire. Besides cricket, he was also a fine footballer, on average better than most of his agemates. He went for trials at Aston Villa and Birmingham City, but did not get any chances.

At 15, Ollie Lawrence chose rugby and decided to seek professional development. This move proved to be a good decision, setting the stage for one of England’s best centres.

Ollie Lawrance studied at West House for Junior School, then at Old Swinford Hospital for secondary school, and at Bromsgrove School for sixth form. At Bromsgrove, he was one of their finest rugby players, standing out in the country.

By this time, he had already joined Worcester Warriors Academy, forging his skills with a dream to go professional. Ollie impressed in the academy until senior team coaches called him to train with the main team.

PROFESSIONAL CAREER

After joining the senior team for training, Ollie immediately impressed, pushing for his professional debut. In November 2017, Ollie Lawrence made his Warriors debut against Sale Sharks in the Anglo-Welsh Cup at Sixways Stadium. It was a perfect debut, with the young centre closing it out with a try.

Working hard in training, Ollie went on to finish the season with three first-team appearances. The following season, Ollie came a lot stronger and more determined to get more minutes, making 14 appearances. Many fans started demanding to see him in matches, and Ollie slowly became the main centre for the Warriors.

He went on to help Worcester Warriors win the 2021-22 Premiership Rugby Cup as one of the best players. Ollie Lawrance went on to play in 57 games for the Warriors.

“I did all the travelling, taking him to sport, but mum always made sure he had a warm bath, tea on the table with the washing machine ready to clean his dirty kit,” said Mike.
