Mallory went down in tears following her husband Joe Launchbury’s retirement from professional rugby at the end of the season. Over the years, Joe has placed himself among the finest rugby players of his generation.
He represented England at some of the best tournaments, including the Rugby World Cup.
Over the years, he has played in 70 games for England, and also masively at club level. With his career taking off at Worthing in 2009, Joe went on tp play for Wasps, Rosslyn Park, Toyota Verblitz and Harlequins.
Throughout his career, Joe made over 200 club appearances, with his wife, Mallory, by his side. Mallory had grown to be Joe’s biggest fan, going to matches to support him every weekend when he plays—through the tough times and sleepless nights when the veteran lock was injured.
Surely she had invested a lot in the game, and seeing her husband hanging the boots was not easy.

On Instagram, Mallory poured out her heart, expressing her emotions and sadness on Instagram.
“The last game. 😭❤️🏉 It was an emotional day watching Joe play one more time.” she said speaking about how it feels watching Joe for the last time.
“So much of our life has been focused around Rugby, and it feels very surreal that our weekends won’t be spent watching and supporting Joe playing,” she continued, expressing how their life routine will be affected.
“We are so proud of him and all that he has achieved. 🥰” she finished, appreciating her husband.
Besides, Mallory and Joe Launchbury’s children also expressed their joy as they walked out of the tunnel with their father. The three of them walked with Joe for the last time, and it was an emotional moment for the family and fans alike.
