Wales Legend George North penned a heartfelt letter after fellow countryman Leigh Halfpenny announced his retirement from rugby. With Leigh’s retirement announcement coming a few days after George’s, the Wales national team has a lot of talent and leadership.

The two stars had been among the best rugby players in the Wales national team for over a decade. Together, they had many memories with over a century of appearances each.

Unfortunately, the playing days have come to an end for the two legends, and a new life is upon them. With only a few weeks left, North is emotional about retirement but is also happy that he will have a different conversation with Leigh.

“Congrats, my brother! One of the best is an understatement.” North started congratulating him and appreciating the great career Leigh had.

“I look forward to catching up over a cold one soon and talking about the good old days 👴🏻🍺”, he finished, looking ahead to their life after playing rugby. With the added emojis of an old bald man and a mug of beer, George understands that the two stars are no longer young.
