Sharks star Ethan Hooker penned an emotional farewell to Grant Williams ahead of his switch to Japan at the end of the season. Ethan Hooker and Grant Williams had been close friends and teammates, growing through the ranks until they became top players for the Sharks.
With both players knowing the Sharks in club rugby, seeing one leave is very emotional. Many fans wished him a great future after the announcement, but it was Ethan’s message that showed the players’ unity.
“Love you, G❤️”, Ethan said, leaving some fans liking his comments.

Undoubtedly not the ideal situation to bid farewell to the two close players. Usually, they would train together, bonding for the last few weeks, but that is not the case.
Currently, Ethan Hooker is nursing an ankle injury sustained against Connacht in the EPCR Challenge Cup.
With such a sad farewell, fans wished Hooker a quick recovery and hoped he would heal quickly. Some had kind words for Grant as he left South Africa.
