Cardiff youngster Tom Bowon continues to win big as he scooped yet another award, but this time for the United Rugby Championship (URC). This time, he won the 25/26 Next-Gen Player of the Season Award, a testament to the exceptional season he has had. Indeed, it’s been a rollercoaster for Tom since his debut back in December 2024.
URC shared the news, announcing him and calling Tom Bowen a future superstar.

TOM BOWEN WINS BIG IN HIS BREAKTHROUGH SEASON
Besides the URC 25/26 Next-Gen Player of the Season Award, Tom Bowen had also won a lot of awards at the club level. At the awards night a few days ago, Tom won Breakthrough Player of the Season. On top of that, he also won the Fans’ player of the season and the Try of the season against the Stormers.
During the season, Tom learned a lot, especially playing alongside his childhood hero, Leigh Halfpenny.
“Loved every minute of this season with lots of learning. It was a dream come true to play with my childhood hero, @leighhalfpenny. Thanks for everything you’ve done this season. All the best in retirement 👏,” he said as he finished the season on a high.
