Anton Segner breaks his silence after making his All Blacks debut against Italy on 11 July. Undoubtedly, a young and talented loose forward, Segner’s journey to the All Blacks team is one of its own.
Born in Frankfurt, Germany, on 24 July 2001, Anton started his career in his home country, where he showed his top-class ability.
In 2017, he played for SC 1880 Frankfurt before moving to New Zealand for a six-month stay. During his stay, Anton impressed several youth academies before Nelson College offered him a scholarship. This move became a career- and life-changing experience for Segner as he continued his development in Germany.
Today, he is an All Black, and he could not hide his joy sharing the experience with fans and family.

Sharing on Instagram after their convincing 47 – 17 win over Italy in the Nations Championship, Anton Segner went emotional, thanking his fans.
“Thankful for my crew and everyone who has played a role in turning this dream into reality. Appreciate all the messages and support.” Anton said, showing his joy.
“Moments I will cherish forever,” he finished, expressing how much he would always look back and feel proud.
