‘I’ll miss this place’: Crusaders foward Cullen Grace bids farewell

Crusaders star Cullen Grace confirmed his move overseas, joining Welsh club Scarlets, as confirmed on Friday, 26 June.
Since his debut in 2020 as a 19-year-old youngster, Grace had been a loyal and dedicated servant to the Crusaders. Over the years, he has made more than 55 appearances and scored more than 50 points for the red and black stars.

Surely, time has moved on, and Grace joined club captain David Havili as he left the club for Japan. Announcing the news on their Instagram page, the Crusaders showed him love and wished him a great future.

CULLEN GRACE’S FAREWELL TO THE CRUSADERS FAMILY

Speaking to the club, Cullen Grace revealed how much the Crusaders have given him since he was a young boy.

“I was just a teenager when I came into this environment, so I’ve grown a lot both on and off the field in my time here,” he said, speaking of how he has grown over the years.

“Red and black will always be a part of my life, and I’ll miss this place and the people here the most, but I’m excited for this move,” he continued, speaking about the bond he had created with the Crusaders.

He also continued to look ahead, excited about his move to the Welsh giants. “Scarlets is a very proud rugby club with a great history and tradition, and that was something that really appealed to me. It is a challenge I am really looking forward to, and I can’t wait to get started,” says Grace.  

FANS WISH HIM WELL

Indeed, the love Cullen Grace has for the Crusaders is mutual, as fans and fellow players have come to show him their love. The comments showed a deep connection, as revealed by the former All Blacks captain Scott Barrett himself, as he wished Grace well.
