All Blacks and Chiefs winger Leeroy Carter engaged his longtime partner Anika Russell during a vacation at the Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay on 19 September.
Over the years, Leeroy has seen massive growth professionally as a rugby player. He has since made his All Blacks debut in 2025, and also signed a massive contract with the Chiefs after his move from Bay of Plenty.
With his growth coming fast and thick, his girlfriend Anika had always been by his side. Several times, she would go to games to watch Leeroy play. She has also been with him, cheering him on through tough times when he was not doing well.
Over the years, her contribution to Leeroy’s success as a partner had been clear, and now she is being rewarded for her patience.

During the off-season, Leeroy took his partner Anika for a vacation at the beautiful Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay. As they enjoyed themselves, Leeroy asked the big question, and Anika said yes.
After that, the two lovebirds enjoyed themselves taking pictures and sharing with fans. Anika shared the pictures announcing the news, prompting fans to congratulate them.
