EARLY CAREER
Born in Hamilton, Noah Hothan grew up as a multi-talented athlete. His speed and strength proved to be too much for his age mates in many disciplines.
However, Noah proved to be much better at rugby than at any other sport, and he gave it his full focus.
Coming through as a sports prefect at Hamilton Boys’ High School, he showed great potential as a young boy. He was a key player on the team that won the Super 8 Rugby Competition in 2019 and 2020. Noah also won the Condor National Secondary Schools Sevens in 2019 and 2020, before captaining the New Zealand Under-18 Touch team.
He later joined the Tasman Academy, where he further developed his talent. He later represented New Zealand at the Under-20 level between 2022 and 2023. Noah impressed so much that Tasman could not ignore him while in the academy.
PROFESSIONAL RUGBY
Come 2121, Noah made his first squad appearance for Tusman in the 2021 Bunnings NPC. He later made his professional debut against Bay of Plenty at Trafalgar Park in a non-competition match.
He went on to play his first official Bunnings NPC match against Waikato in the competition’s final. He went on to play many other games for the side, becoming one of the best players.
In 2023, Noah Hotham signed a contract with the Crusaders, valid until 2025. Former Crusaders coach Scott Robertson spoke highly of him, detailing the attributes he is now showing at the highest stage.
“Noah is a big explosive halfback who has an exceptional ability to control the game, and he has shown an outstanding work ethic and an incredible desire to develop – the great foundations for a successful Crusader”, he said.
ALL BLACKS CAREER
After impressing at club level, Noah Hotham looked ready for the All Blacks test, and the call rang in 2025. He made his All Blacks debut on 20 July 2024 against Fiji. He made a couple of appearances, putting in a strong claim to his name.
He later spoke of the tough competition at the halfback position in the All Blacks ranks. He showed that he is confident in what is expected of him to become a regular on the team. “Real stacked. Lots of young boys, too; they’ve got big futures ahead of them, too,” Hotham started.
“You’ve just got to do your best with where you are, make sure you are where your feet are and continue to compete and do your best for the team,” he continued. He also spoke about the pride of his All Blacks debut.
“Crazy, everything I’ve dreamt of, it was a little bit different. A foreign place, I’d never been to America before; visiting Fiji, too, was really special, but unfortunately, my family couldn’t be there because they were over in Paris for the Olympics, watching [sister] Jasmine [Felix-Hotham]. It was one of those where you’re kind of numb to it because I came on so early… It’s crazy, man, just eager,” he said.
NOAH HOTHAM HEIGHT AND WEIGHT
Standing tall at 1.8 m, Noah is tall enough to be the perfect link between forwards and backs. He can scan the field well and also has a strong gravity statue that allows him to stand his ground.
He weighs around 94 kg, making him light enough to cover the ground as a full back requires. However, he possesses the natural strength to assist in defending.
NOAH HOTHAM’S LIFE AWAY FROM RUGBY
Besides rugby, Noah Hotham has another social life that some fans find interesting. He comes from a sports family, and their habits speak of their success.
NOAH HOTHAM’S AGE AND FAMILY
Born on 23 May 2003, Noah Hotham turns 23 years in 2026. Born to his father, Nigel Hotham, and mother, Dianne Hotham, he grew up with the support he needed.
His parents were also top athletes who played Touch rugby for New Zealand. His mother also represented Samoa. With such a strong sports background, both Nigel and Dianne know a thing or two about talent development. Additionally, Nigel has been a rugby coach and has worked at Hamilton School.
Noah Hotham also has inspiring siblings: his brother, Legin Felix-Hotham, and his sister, Jazmin Felix-Hotham. Jazmin is a successful sevens player who plays for New Zealand. On the other side, his brother Legin is making strides in his own lane.
Bring the three together, and they grew stronger as they competed against each other, fostering a fighting spirit. They also support each other in their careers, something that few families offer.
NOAH HOTHAM’S GIRLFRIEND AND WIFE
As of February 2026, Noah has not yet gone public about his love life. Indeed, given his age and what he is up to, the talented halfback is still focusing on his career.
