England legend Jonny Wilkinson has penned an emotional letter wishing Sonny Bill Williams well after surgery. The All Blacks legend, Williams, underwent successful heart surgery a couple of days ago.
Indeed, Wilkinson and Williams had been fierce rivals on the pitch, but ot seemed rugby rivalry failed to break their relationship. Years after playing together, the two legends still see each other as friends. Surely, a bromance only a few current players, like Siya Kolisi and Ardie Savea, could relate to.

Looking back on his surgery, Sonny expressed his joy and gratitude for still being alive and for being with his family. He then penned a heartfelt post on Instagram enjoying some special time with his family.
“No fancy caption needed. Just grateful to still be here, to still smell my kids’ hair, to still cuddle my wife and to still be in the chaos of life, Alhamdulillah 🤲🏽❤️ Thank you for all your messages; I’ve been inundated with so much love. God bless you all.” Sonny said.
After that, Wilkinson commented on the post, wishing his friend Sonny well.
“Here’s to the most full and beautiful recovery, Sonny. Thinking of you, my friend!” Jonny said alongside some fans and fellow rugby stars.
