THE RISE OF A SUPERSTAR
Sacha Feiberg-Mngomezulu was born on 22 February 2002 in Cape Town, Western Cape province, in South Africa. The talented boy grew up in a stable family and attended Llandovery College in Wales before moving to South Africa.
Coming back to South Africa, he studied at Diocesan College, where he showed early signs of his rugby talent.
SACHA MNGOMEZULU’S RAINBOW FAMILY
The talented fullback grew up in one of Cape Town’s famous families, the Feinberg family. His grandfather, Barry Feinberg, was a well-known man thanks to his talent for writing and poetry. Besides art, Barry was also deeply involved in politics and spent time in exile because of his role in the anti-apartheid struggle.
His father is Nick Feinberg, a sports fanatic who works as a sports broadcaster. He supported Sacha since day 1, and he is one of his top fans. Sacha’s mother is Makhosazana, who had Nathan, Sacha’s older half-brother. Sacha’s father and mother separated, and Nick married Candice, Sacha’s stepmother. He also has another young half-brother, the son of his father and his stepmother.

Speaking about his family’s rainbow family, Nick says he has managed to bring people from different religions and cultures together. “I am white, of Jewish origin, although an atheist. My ex-wife is Zulu and black. My current wife is coloured, from Mitchell’s Plain”,. he said, speaking at the Leaner husband podcast.
INSIDE SACHA MNGOMEZULU’S LOVE LIFE (GIRLFRIEND, WIFE)
Breaking into the spotlight at a young age, Sacha’s love life had been a centre of interest. Indeed, relationships have ruined many promising careers among athletes, and Sacha needed to be careful.
In the past few months, Sacha had been spotted in intimate situations, sparking speculation among fans. In November 2025, after much fan speculation, Sarah posted a massive diamond engagement ring, which made even more headlines. Surely, either Sarah or Sacha bothered to address the rumours as fake news, and that was enough confirmation for many of their followers.
CAREER
As of 2026, Sacha has enjoyed a remarkable career at both club and international levels. Given his age, only a few have reached the milestones he has walked, and here is the breakdown from club to country.
THE RISE OF A STAR
Starting from Diocesan College as one of their best stars, Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu impressed beyond the school. He later joined the Western Province in 2021, where he made his debut in the Currie Cup against the Free State Cheetahs.
In 2022, he signed for the Stormers and immediately became one of the best players. Since then, he has made over 40 appearances.
SPRINGBOKS
After his breakthrough, the question of whether Scha would play for England or South Africa became a topic among fans. Sacha could play for South Africa by birth and also for England through his father, Nick. However, Sacha chose the Springboks, saying he was never close to or considering playing for England.
In 2022, rumours surfaced that England coach Eddie Jones approached him with an invitation to play for England, but he turned it down. Later that year, he was selected to be part of the South Africa senior training squad for the 2022 Autumn Internationals.
He went on to be part of the 2024 Springbok alignment camp, where he made his debut against Wales. He immediately impressed fans, scoring a penalty and two conversions.
From there, he went on to be one of the first names in the Springboks squad. He became the South African with the most points in a game against Argentina, scoring 37.
He won the 2025 Rugby Championship, becoming the Springboks’ first major trophy. He was also nominated for the SA Rugby Men’s Player of the Year and the SA Rugby Young Player of the Year Award.
