All Blacks star flanker Ardie Savea is a man in love with his wife, Saskia. Over the years, Ardie has found a lot of stability on and off the pitch, and it’s not a coincidence.
When away from rugby, he has managed to live a scandal-free lifestyle, especially when it comes to love.
His wife, Saskia, even though she is not a loud person, plays a key role behind the scenes.
WHO IS SASKIA HARTMANN-HECHENBERGER?
Born Saskia Hartmann-Hechenberger, the bubbly lady was born on 17 July 1994. She grew up in Wellington, where she met Ardie in high school.
Since then, Saskia and Ardie had been together, supporting each other along the way. Saskia is an intelligent lady with a Commerce degree, which helps her do business.
She is also a cofounder of the ASAV clothing brand with Ardie Savea.
MARRYING ARDIE SAVEA
After many years of being in love, Ardie Savea asked the big question in 2017 and engaged with Saskia.
Since then, the two lovebirds have not taken too much time before they tied the knot.
Ardie and Saskia had their lavish wedding in Fiji in December 2018. It was a luxurious and expensive wedding attended by many top rugby players.
The couple celebrated their 7th wedding anniversary in 2025, with Saskia pouring out her heart with love.
“7 years married, 16 years together, lifetime to go ❤️🙏🏽” she said, celebrating on Instagram.
After getting married, Saskia gave birth to her firstborn, Kobe Savea, as they started their family.
She went on to give birth to their second child, Keeon Werner-Honno Savea, in October 2020.
Two years later, in 2022, she gave birth to her lastborn, Kove Masina-Moon Savea, who is a girl.
ARDIE SAVEA’S SUPPORTING PILLAR
One thing is for sure: Saskia has been Ardie’s strongest pillar on and off the pitch. As Ardie has repeatedly said, Saskia is a wonderful mother who takes good care of the kids and the house. On top of that, she is an excellent lover and wife to the All Blacks star.
Whenever Ardie moves abroad, she goes with him, being the pillar behind the scenes. She is also his top fan, attending matches and cheering him on.
