All Blacks loose forward Anton Segner suffered an injury blow that ruled him out of the South Africa tour. Back home, Anton Segner has shared his feelings with fans in an Instagram post following the news announcement.

“Appreciate all the love and support”, Anton said with a thankful emoji.

The talented 25-year-old star made his All Blacks debut only a few months ago. However, in his past few games, he looked as if he had been wearing the black jersey for years. Unfortunately, the youngster has an infection in his ankle joint and needs surgery.

“Anton Segner has had minor surgery to wash out an infection in his ankle joint and has been ruled out for the remainder of Rugby’s greatest rivalry while he recovers”, the All Blacks said.

Because of the stage the tour has reached, coach Dave Rennie has decided against calling a replacement.
