ROMAIN NTAMACK’S AGE AND EARLY LIFE

Romain Ntamack was born in Toulouse, France, on 1 May 1999. He turned 27 in May 2026. Ntamack grew up a top athlete throughout all age groups. He was very good at sprinting, played soccer as well as a boy, but chose rugby in the end.

After he chose rugby, he immediately joined Stade Toulousain rugby school, where he developed his talent. For about 5 years, Romain worked hard to build a rugby career. He excelled through the Toulousain ranks, making a name for himself at the club.

He also represented France in the junior teams, like the Under-20 team from 2017 to 2018. Romain was part of the Under 20 France team that won the World Rugby Under 20 Championship in 2018. He also won the Six Nations Under-20s Championship the same year. With his continued development, Romain Ntamack became too big for the academy and the national junior teams.

PROFESSIONAL CAREER

Forcing through the ranks, Romain received his call to the Toulouse first team for training. He impressed in several sessions before making his debut on 30 September 2017. He debuted as a substitute in the 38th minute against Agen in the Top 14.

Starting from the bench, he forced his way into the starting team within a few years. Come 2019, he was named the World Rugby Breakthrough Player of the Year. A couple of years from his debut, he won the 2020-21 Top 14 and 2020–21 European Rugby Champions Cup double.

Since then, Romain Ntamack has become Toulouse’s key player, leading the team to many victories. As of January 2026, he has won the Top 14 five times: 2019, 2021, 2023, 2024, and 2025. He has also won the European Rugby Champions Cup twice in 2021 and 2924.
